Tricks for deleting computer virus
Basic guide to eliminate a virus from our PC If you have been a victim of some annoying virus that has installed in your PC and do not know how to delete it, here I present you a guide with simple steps to eliminate the viruses in your PC, but first, it is important to point out that this steps are not permanent, due to the fact that there are many solutions for your problem.First, I will advise you to run the antivirus software that you have installed on your PC; I recommend having one antivirus software installed, because having more than one might cause conflicts in your PC. Step One: The diagnosis. If you know that your PC has symptoms of been infected by a virus, which can be: pc constant rebooting, the operative system or the programs take too long to load with no apparent reason, if the size of a software varies out of the blue, if the hard drive runs out of space or reports a lack of it without this necessarily happening, if ghost files appear with weird names and extensions, then probably your computer is, indeed, infected with a virus. The first thing you should do is run your antivirus software, among the ones I personally recommend are: Kaspersky, Avira Premium, BitDefender, these are not the cheapest ones, but are really good scanning your PC looking for viruses. There are also some antivirus softwares that offer their services online through their websites, such as BitDefender Online, if you are interested, here is their website (please check the website), another antivirus that I strongly recommend is Ewido Only, this is an antispyware (please check the website) and what it does is detect spy and unwanted software. Step Two: Eliminating the Virus. First of all, I will recommend you to inactivate the system restoration, due to the fact that there are some viruses that have the ability of restoring after every rebooting, for this you should browse in My PC’s properties and tick in the box that says inactivate system restoration o deactivate system restoration in all units. After this, restart the PC but now in the failure proof mode and then re run the antivirus, verifying before that it has been actualized, to be sure, re check it with the BitDefender online and the Ewido online. Step Three: Verifying the disinfection. If you have been through all the previous steps and your PC does not show more symptoms of been infected, the advisable thing to do would be to perform daily checks with the antivirus, the BitDefender and the Ewido. Another software I would recommend is the Ccleaner which erases the cookies and the Internet temporary files, you should run it to be sure of the disinfection been successful, besides of this I would also advise you to fragment your hard drive once in a while just to speed up the execution of your files and also having your antivirus software updated. Doing all of this procedure takes time, but you can be confident that afterward your PC will be completely clean and ready for any virus that could show. Tony Novoa System Engineer. Difference between Virus and Worm
There is a continuous development of computers and intent technologies but in the mean time all these developments on one side leads to the development in the various fields for example education , communication and business, but on the other side it caused several threats on the Internet such as virus, trojan horse, worm, and spyware .But before discussing on the process to get rid of these threats, we need to understand what exactly these threats are and how they spreads.A virus is a program or code that copies itself into other programs, it execute itself and replicate itself. Virus can infect desktop and network server, some viruses are programmed to damage the computer by damaging programs deleting files or reformatting the hard disk. Others are not designed to do any damage, but simply to replicate themselves and make their presence in video, and audio messages. These viruses can create problems for the computer user. They take computer memory used by important programs, these viruses can crash your system and slow your computer or even some times freezes the computer . Viruses are of many kind and they infected different files like file infector viruses. These viruses normally infects executable code, such as .exe and .dll files. They can infect other files when an infected program is copied from floppy, hard drive or from the network . Boot sector viruses infect the boot record on floppy disks and hard disks. All floppy disks and hard disks contain a small program in the boot record that is run when the computer starts up. Boot sector viruses to this part of the disk and activate when the user attempts to start up from the infected disk these viruses responsible for slow booting of your computer. Master boot record Master boot record viruses are memory-resident viruses that infect disks in the same manner as boot sector viruses. To repair computer infected by virus you need antivirus.Worms are almost similar to that of the virus. Unlike the viruses, worm uses computer networks to replicate itself. It searches for servers with security holes and copies itself .Worms are programs that replicate themselves from system to system without the user. This is in contrast to viruses which requires the spreading of an infected host file, However worms generally exist inside of other files often Word or Excel documents, there is a difference between how worms and viruses use the host file. To remove all these threats from our computer, we need to download and install antivirus software on our computer. But we have to keep one thing in our mind, that installing antivirus software never means that our computer is free from all the threats, as these virus worms are created on the daily basis, so to make our computer immune against all these new threats, we need to update our antivirus software, we can download these updates form the websites of the antivirus software. So if we scan our computer, with the updated antivirus softwares atleast once in a weak, we can make our computer safe and secure against all the threats. Far too many company and household computers become infected with viruses annually, and the affects of these infections can be devastating to the user. Since there are so many ways a virus can enter your computer’s system, it’s important that you know how to block off those entrances. Here are several ways to decrease the chances of your computer becoming infected: -Don’t solely rely on anti-virus software, although you should have it installed. Be sure to update often to detect and protect your computer from the most recently created viruses. – It is also good for your computer to install a spyware, malware, and adware removal application. -Read the headlines. Stay on top of the news to educate yourself about new viruses -Try not to open an e-mail attachment until you are sure it is safe. Make sure you know the person or why it may be sent to you. -Once again, surf the web for news about viruses so you know common subject lines and file extensions relative to those viruses. -Disable automatic attachment viewing in your e-mail settings. -Set your Word and Excel settings so that Macros are disabled when a file is opened up for viewing. – Use search engines that are well-known for generating results relevant to search terms. A site is probably safe if a lot of people have linked to it, but keep in mind that this isn’t always the case. This way, your chances of being directed to a site that hosts a virus is less likely. -Make sure you set your security settings to ‘high’ in your web browser. -Try to avoid downloading free applications from unverifiable websites -Configure your settings so that you can always view file extensions. -The following are examples of file extensions to be suspicious of when they show up in e-mails. ADE, ADP, BAS, BAT, CHM, CMD, COM, CPL, CRT, DLL, EXE, HLP, HTA, INF, INS, ISP, JS, JSE, LNK, MDB, MDE, MSC, MSI, MSP, MST, OCX, PCD, PIF, POT, REG, SCR, SCT, SHB, SHS, SYS, URL, VB, VBE, VBS, WSC, WSF, WSH It is easy to tell yourself you will regularly take these measures to maintain your computer’s health, but it is also quite easy to forget. While checking the Avast! website, I found a summary report done by them to their customers. It’s a report of a survey that they done after a customer got infected by a virus. According to the virus summary report, 42.98% of the customers said the virus that infected their computer came from the internet and 41.59% of them, don’t know from where they got the virus. While the remaining customers said they got it from a program from a friend or from infected backup. What can we know from this report? First of all, we know that 41.59% of the customers don’t have any knowledge about PC security or less knowledge about it because they don’t even know how they got infected. Secondly, most of the viruses came from the Internet. As you can see, Internet contains lots of information but at the same time it is dangerous for those who don’t have sufficient knowledge on how to protect themselves and their PC from online threats. The remaining percents said they got it from a program from a friend or infected backup and these show that they didn’t scan the program before copying it to their PC and they seldom update their anti-virus virus definition. It’s very important for us to update the definition in order for the anti-virus to detect newer threats. From the same report, 47.13% didn’t succeed in removing the virus and 38.52% used a virus remover. Why they didn’t succeed in removing it? In my opinion, there are several reasons. 1. You don’t know how to you get infected. 2. You didn’t do any research on the Internet on how to remove it. 3. You assume that the anti-virus or the virus remover can remove every viruses that exist in the whole world 4. You think that spyware, adware and rootkit are types of virus and they all are the same. 5. You didn’t update your virus definition. However,45.33% of the customers update their virus definition every week and 33.78% will update it as soon as a new one is available. This is a good news because they know that they need to update it. There are lots of people around the whole world using the Internet but only less than half have anti-virus installed. It’s sad actually but it’s a fact. From this part, only half of them have anti-adware, anti-spyware, and firewall installed into their system. But, from this half, Only half of them have the knowledge how to protect their computer from online threats. So, which part are you? Let’s talk a little about the impact of viruses, Internet related threats and how they effect your computer and privacy.
First off, is it really necessary to have anti-virus and firewall software installed on your computer? Afterall, with only 200 new threats created daily, who really cares? Is it really that big of a deal if hackers are able to access your computer, look through your data, user names, passwords, and account information? Seriously, is identitiy theft really that important to you? Or what about the viruses that cause your computer to go so slow you think you will never be able to load your Internet browser. Why should you worry about malware that can cause your system files to be destroyed or your favorite family photos stored on your computer to disappear in an instant? Does it concern you that your email can be sent to thousands of spam sites and pop-ups are all over your screen offering you software to fix your computer?
Any idea what causes these types of issues? How about malware, which broken down is short for malicious software such as viruses, trojans, worms, rootkits, spyware, adware, I think you get the point. Oh wait, I forgot, you have a customized super sized computer that is not vulnerable to viruses. When I hear people tell me this, I tend to wait and act surprised when they come back saying, “oh no, I got a virus”.
It does not matter how sophisticated your computer is, you are vulnerable to malware! If you don’t have internet security software installed on your pc, you are at risk of being infected with viruses, spyware and even hackers that want nothing more than to steal your information.
So what should you do now that you already have viruses on your computer? Well you could download the latest internet security software and hope it will detect, delete or repair the infected files. Many times you will have to do a re-format of your harddrive which will cause you to lose everything on your computer so be sure to save what you want first. If you do a re-format, it has to be done properly, or it will not delete the viruses. I would recommend you to contact your local computer shop.
Although Internet security and anti-virus software will protect you against these threats, no software is guaranteed to block 100% of all malware. Many of these threats are found on websites that you visit and files that you download such as video’s, music and pictures. If you use peer to peer file sharing, I am sure you already know all about viruses and spyware. Want a hint? Stop downloading from those sites and you will stop getting viruses.
Okay, here are a couple internet security software programs I recommend that offer the best protection, features and support. First is Security Shield 2008, this is a rebrand of F-Secure and is absolutely amazing and easy to use. Another is Kaspersky Internet Security, another well designed software program with hourly updates. Learn more or review our recommended Internet Security Software ReviewsVideo Games

Phishing is the use of fraudulent emails, websites and other techniques to get people to give away confidential information such as credit card details and other personal information by acting as a respected company. You may have encountered phishing if you received a suspected email from PayPal asking you to update your details that turned out wasn’t from PayPal at all – since PayPal has a strict policy of not asking for this information, that wasn’t from PayPal. In this article we are going to look at how you can prevent your customers from falling victim to phishing and stop phishers from using your reputation to steal people’s personal information. The first thing all companies should do in protecting their customers from phishing is to start a customer education campaign. Most of the steps which need to be taken in order to prevent phishing lies with the customers but often customers are not sure of what they should be doing. They need to be taught not to give out their personal information in response to an email, to install anti-phishing software on their computer, and to inquire about any suspicious emails. If you want to protect your customers from phishing you need to start by educating them and teaching them about these steps. The second thing you can do as a company to protect your customers from falling victim to phishing is to implement a policy in which you never ask for personal details, log in details or credit card details via email. Publish this policy and regularly ensure that your customers know about it. Tell them what type of emails they may receive from you and what emails (including the sharing of personal information) they will never receive from you. Let them know who they should contact if they ever receive an email which appears to go against your company’s policy in this regard. If a customer alerts you to a possible phishing incident take this seriously and do everything you can to get the phishing website shut down and alert your clients to this incident in order to protect them from giving out their personal information.Going into specific details on how to secure your website is outside the scope of this article- so we recommend you speak with your IT manager or hosting provider to make sure unauthorized users do not have access to your database and that this is checked regularly.Stop phishers from stealing your customers’ personal information and stop customers from falling victim to phishing by educating your customers about the steps that you are taking to protect them and the things that they can do in order to protect themselves. Today, people not only have the ability to ruin your reputation but also enrich themselves in the process and harm others in doing so. Protect yourself and your customers by putting an anti-phishing policy in place today. Chris Meacham is Managing Member and owner of Now IT Works. Using Antivirus Software – How To Shield Your System From Virus Attacks
The computer virus has been in existence for a very long time now and it has become very popular as developers are always seeking new ways to curb this dangerous plague. Computer systems are becoming very popular with the increase of time, almost every home has a computer system, so if we should calculate the number of computers in the world, the result might be equal to the number of people existing in the whole world.
With the wide spread of computers has come the increase of the transmission of computer viruses around the world, this is enabled by the use of the internet. Since the advent of the world wide web,and its popularity, the issue of computer viruses have become wide spread, almost without restriction. This was not the case initially, without the internet, the transmission of virus was only manual; it was only carried from one floppy drive to the other and that can be handled by scanning the disk for virus before use.
The popularity of the internet has brought with it a lot of harm and dangers; it has increased the transmission of the virus, now it is so easy to get a virus into your system. A virus can be contacted through an email, or even an attached file with the email message; you can contact a virus by downloading or through any other activity on the internet. This has kept software developers very busy, trying to create better protection for the different viruses that come up every day.
Once a virus get its way into your computer system it opens it up to a lot of dangers and can eventually crash your hard disk, this is a problem that is growing at an increasing rate. It must be curbed with the available protection to safe guard your computer systems.

Awesome Virus Protection Tips – How to Test the Untrustworthy Websites Or Programs
The Internet contains a vast amount of information. But you need to remember the threats that come with it. Adware, spyware, viruses, worms, mouse trap, and other types of malware can infect your PC very quickly. There are people who get infected by malware every week. If you’re a frequent user of the internet, you must be visiting hundreds of websites every month. So, how to know which websites contain malicious code and which are not? Sometimes, you might visits a website that seems legitimate and provide freeware downloads. But, how do you determine which programs are malicious? Let’s say you found a website offering anti-spyware download and you immediately download it. What you didn’t know is that website is actually offering rogue anti-spyware for you to download. After installing the rogue software, you immediately realize that it’s a malicious software and try to remove it. However, the software already installed worms, or trojan horses, or rootkit inside your PC without you knowing it and there is no way of removing it. So, the question is, how you can visit a suspicious website, download the software offered, install it and after you found it’s a malware, remove all of it from your PC including the rootkit, or worms, or the trojan horse that it has installed? Or how do you remove any malicious software installed by the malicious websites into your system without your concern? Use SandBoxie. It’s a software that creates a sandbox-like wall that isolates the programs you have installed and remove all of the malicious software components the moment you remove the software without infecting any other files or programs. So, you can visit many websites and test many programs using SandBoxie and remove it the moment you realize it’s a malicious software. You can test various programs and websites by using this software. Another software that I recommend is the McAfee Site Advisor. It’s a software that will advise you if the websites that you’re visiting contain: 1. Links to malicious websites. 2. Lots of pop-ups 3. Malicious software downloads 4. Spam emails. By using these two software, you can rest assure that you can surf the internet happily and can avoid those malicious websites without worrying the effect. However, it’s actually a wise move if you didn’t visit the malicious websites or install any suspicious software into your system. It’s better to prevent than cure.
